TRIP TO MARRAKECH - COP22 MOROCCO

favourite city I've ever visited? well for sure Marrakech!

I had the chance to visit this beautiful city so many times and everytime I get in love with it deeper and even deeper .

this time I visited Marrakech not just as a tourist but to attend the inauguration of COP22 (conference of parties) wich is an annual coference discussing all things Climate change,it began the 7th of November and will end at the 18th of the same month.

I've been choosen with other students to take part in the Moroccan parliament of students, we had to prepar a presentation about a topic in relation with climate change and talk about it in front of many specialists and politicians...I choosed to talk about "the effect of climate change on avifauna (birds)" ,to be honest it was a hectic process , preparing for the day D,meetings ,writings ...but at the end,it was really a great experience, I got to know so many newpeople,and discuss loadsof topics,share and exchange ideas,learn new things,and of course make memories,I can't complain.

we spent three days there ,and e stayed in the nicest hotels in Marrakech ,it's called palmeraie village wich is caracterized by typical Moroccan interior ,it was just fantastic .

on a side note, I wanna take advantage from this post to talk about how grateful I am to live in such a wonderful world,nature is one of my fav things ever,I want you all to take time and just think about how lucky we are to have all of this beauty arround us ,forests,oceans,animals...,unfortunatly we are damaging every single piece of the earth and I admit that I'am not the perfect girl whp preserve the envirnment to the fullest, but I'm doing my best by small daily gestures,I know as well that these gestures won't help that much but I believe we don't have to keep waiting for the decision makers to save our world,if we all act together wa can make a big diference.

I won't hide the fact that I worried more than ever after attending the cop22 and reading so many articles about the agonizing phase the climate has arrived to,the statistics are terrifying,The lack of water, the deforestation, the melting of the poles, the pollution, the extinction of animal species... where are we going with this?!so if I have something to ask you today is to act no matter how,inform yourself,share theenvironmental awareness,that's the minimum we can do for the place we live in.

I take as well this opportunity to express how proud I'm of Morocco as a country,it has done so many environment friendly projects such as the biggest solar station in the world "NOUR" and took its big step towards an ecological country by forbidding plastic bags,it raises awareness by producing high quality documentaries and educational programs for the children,also today 1 million argan trees has been planted (in just one day) ...in brief, BIG UP!

I know this post was a little bit different from the usual ones on my blog , but I felt responsible to share at least a bit of what I know maybe can impact positively someone ,I'll let you now with the photos I took when at Marrakech (I couldn't take so many as we didn't get out in the daylight and it was pouring rain),
